The White House

Bed and Breakfast

A unique farmhouse experience
in historic Northwest Nebraska

The White House was originally an Episcopal rectory, built at the turn of the 20th century.  It stood in nearby Chardon, Nebraska for about 60 years, until Ralph White, local farmer and rancher, had it moved to its present location 8 miles west of Chadron.

The White House sits on 400 acres of range and hay land, with the White River running through it.

Your four-legged pardner is welcome when you visit - ask about barn, feed and miles of scenic trails!

Your Host

Dona Fleming, daughter of Ralph and Gladys White, has lived in the area all her life.  A talented cook, seamstress and rancher in her own right, Dona has always taken on new challenges.  After fixing up the family home several years ago, Dona thought it would be a perfect spot for visitors to the area to unwind and get a more authentic western experience.  Thus, the idea for the White House B & B was born.  Dona will make sure you get a restful night's sleep, and will treat you to a breakfast the next morning that you won't soon forget.

The House

You'll feel at home in The White House's three cozy bedroom accommodations.  Each airy, sunshine-filled room features a queen-sized bed, bureau and/or closet.  Twin beds and travel cots are available on request for larger groups of guests.  If you don't find what you need, just ask!

The White House has a shared full-sized bath, with tub and shower, and offers guests complete privacy.  You are welcome to use the living room downstairs to watch the news, catch a movie or just sit and visit over a cup of coffee.
