Greetings Vacationer,
Let me guide you through the former Sioux Treaty Territory that now
includes adjoining portions of Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska, the
land of Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, and Red Cloud. This region is still largely
undeveloped and retains the expansive vistas and wildlife that greeted the
scouts and fur traders. Add to this rich history by seeing the Black Hills,
Badlands, High Plains, Pine Ridge and Platte Valley through my eyes as a
naturalist and geologist/paleontologist to provide an ecological context in time
and recent history.
We will explore a spectacular land with many diverse, attractions, both
developed and pristine, as any tourist destination in the United States.
Let me take the hassle out of exploring, by handling the logistics, spare your
vehicle the hazards of back road and off road terrain, and arrange a custom
tour specific to your interest within a 150-mile radius of Fort Robinson State
Park. This may include wildlife, "ghost towns", mines, fossil and rock hunting
localities, and developed attractions.
You can visit these sites on your own and still not see and experience them in
their true historic and natural history context until you take a Thunder Horse
Tour.
This is an opportunity for you to benefit from my 40 years of geologic experience specific to this region combined with 25 years experience in tourism, especially developing and conducting group tours.
