Greetings Vacationer,
I would like to guide you through the former Sioux Treaty Territory that is now includes adjoining portions of Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska. This was the land of Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, and Red Cloud. This region is still largely undeveloped and retains scenic expansive vistas and wildlife that greeted the scouts, and fur traders. In addition to this rich history with you will experience the Black Hills, Badlands, High Plains, Pine Ridge and Platte Valley through my eyes as a naturalist and geologist/paleontologist. This training provides a ecological context in time and recent history.

We will explore a spectacular land with as many diverse, developed and pristine attractions as any major tourist destination in the United States.

I can take the hassle out of exploring, by handling the logistics, spare your vehicle the hazards of back road and off road terrain, and arrange a custom tour specific to your interests within a 150-mile radius of Fort Robinson State Park. This may include wildlife, "ghost towns", mines, fossil and rock hunting localities, and developed attractions. The most frequent comment I’ve received during my career is; ‘We visited there on our own but we didn’t really see it until we saw it with you.’

Toadstool - 30 million years old Rhino tracks

This is your opportunity to benefit from my 40 years of geologic experience specific to this region combined with 25 experience years in tourism, especially developing and conducting group tours. Thunder Horse Enterprises can suggest and or arrange lodging and shuttle service with regional airports at Rapid City, Chadron, and Scottsbluff.
